More than 1,300 Yemeni boys and girls attended a parade in the streets of Marib after successfully memorizing the Quran.

 

A total of 1,301 male and female Quran memorizers celebrated their graduation in the major religious and cultural event organized by the Marib Province Charity Association for the Education of the Holy Quran.

It took place with widespread public participation and reception.

In videos of the ceremony published on social media by the charity association, hundreds of Quran memorizer graduates are seen wearing traditional Yemeni clothing and holding Yemeni flags as they walk through the streets of Marib.

Religious and social figures and families of Quran memorizers also attended the event, and the program included singing and chanting slogans in honor of memorizing the Quran and encouraging the spread of Quranic sciences.

The memorizers participating in this event, which reflected the Yemeni society’s commitment to Quran memorization circles and supporting the young generation, felt proud and honored to have achieved this Quranic accomplishment.

The organizers of the program said it was the largest event of its kind in Yemen and the result of years of efforts to teach and memorize the Quran.

They emphasized that this project was implemented with the aim of preparing a generation familiar with religious knowledge and Quranic ethics and in support of Quran memorization programs in various provinces.
